An 18th-century residence
Time,
still visible.
A historic Marrakchi residence restored to recover its character without erasing what the centuries left behind.

The spirit of the house
From a family residence to a living palace.
Palais Chadmi was once the residence of a distinguished Marrakchi family. Beyond its discreet door, two courtyards, a douiria and several salons still carry the painted ceilings, columns, zellige and historic woodwork of the original house.
In the early 2010s, the Costa family, originally from Lyon, acquired the property. They fell for the building, its history and its character. The restoration that followed did not seek to reinvent the palace, but to recover its spirit and open it to hospitality.
The restoration thread
Preserve before adding.
The journey through time does not come from a reconstructed décor. It comes from elements that were already here, restored and returned to use.

A work in progress
The palace keeps living.
Hospitality keeps the house alive and allows its restoration to continue, room by room.
Some areas remain closed to the public today. Their owners intend to restore them gradually over the years. This unfinished quality is not something to hide: it is a reminder that a historic house never entirely stops changing.
